From July through August 4, the excitement kicks off early with a lineup of 4-H and FFA competitions ahead of the Western Montana Fair! You'll see events like horse and ranch horse shows, plus all the action with dogs, goats, rabbits, poultry, and every kind of shooting sport you can imagine.

Exhibitors take the spotlight in the livestock shows, while music and dancing light up the Historic Plaza and Community Showcase Stage. Don’t miss Bulls, Broncs, and Busters in the grandstands—it’s sure to thrill! Then keep the party going at the Hoedown in Midtown, featuring live music by Off in the Woods on the Community Showcase Stage.
It’s Market Livestock Show Day! Free music and dancing light up the Historic Plaza and Community Showcase Stage. Don’t forget pink night at the rodeo to show your support for breast cancer awareness. Stick around afterward for the Hoedown in Midtown, featuring live music by Joan Zen on the Community Showcase Stage.
Kick off the day with showmanship shows taking center stage in the livestock barn! The excitement wraps up with the Parade of Champions at the Missoula Stampede Rodeo. Then, head over to the Community Showcase Stage at 9 PM for the Hoedown in Midtown, featuring a lively performance by 406!
Fair Hours
The Western Montana Fair operates from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 31st – August 2nd and August 4th to August 8th. August 3rd will be a transition day open only to fair staff. There is one lot for handicap parking (Stephens Ave. entrance) and one lot for public parking (Stephens Avenue).
Park Hours
The park is open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Park users are welcome to picnic (outside alcohol is not permitted). Water fill stations are located along the trail. Restrooms are open to the public during the Fair.
No fees
The Fair is free to all. No gate fees are charged to enter the Fairgrounds. Fees only apply with regard to parking, concessions, carnival and grandstand events as noted during the week of the Fair.
Pets Prohibited
For the duration of the Western Montana Fair, pets are not permitted. Service animals are permitted in designated areas.
Service animals may be excluded where it is determined that allowing service animals would fundamentally alter the nature of the goods, services, programs or activities provided to the public. Service animals are excluded from the east and west end general admission seating of the Clouse Bauer Arena, Llama Barn (Building #34), poultry exhibits and rabbit exhibits during the Fair.
